PASIR PUTEH – A man in his 40s was discovered lifeless on the roof of Siti Hajar Market here early this morning, sparking shock and unanswered questions among locals.
Pasir Puteh Fire and Rescue Department (BBP) rushed to the scene at 4.59am after receiving distress calls, with six personnel deployed to retrieve the victim. Operations Commander Siti Nor Raihan Mohamed Harami confirmed the grim find, stating the man was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers.
“Our team located the victim on the rooftop and initiated retrieval procedures. Unfortunately, he was declared deceased upon assessment,” she said in a brief statement.
Pasir Puteh District Police Chief Superintendent Zaizul Rizal Zakaria echoed the update, acknowledging the incident but withholding further details as investigations unfold.
The discovery has left the tight-knit community rattled, with vendors and residents grappling for answers. “It’s unsettling—how did he end up there?” murmured a nearby shopkeeper, who wished to stay anonymous.
