Suspect in ‘Mickey’ Acid Attack Case

Tan Sri Razarudin Husain shared an update on the acid attack case on national winger Fasial Halim. The man responsible for the attack has been remanded for two days.

The Inspector-General of Police said the suspect, whom they managed to trace is in his 20s, was traced based on a motorcycle registration number identified during the attack.

They took him into custody for investigation into the attack. To know all the information regarding this attack.

He has been remanded for two days,” the  Inspector-General of Police mentioned during the Defence Services Asia (DSA) and National Security (NatSec) Asia 2024 on Monday (May 6).

For now, the IGP is requesting the public to allow the police to investigate and space to conduct their investigation and uncover the motive behind the incident. The police are trying their best to investigate this case and gather all the necessary information to know the truth. 

The police cannot confirm whether the attack on Faisal has anything to do with the attack on another football player Akhyar Rashid, who was attacked and robbed in Kuala Terengganu last week. 

They’re still investigating to find if there are any links possible between the two incidents but Razarudin denied that the attack on both footballers was connected to football bookies.

Selangor police have recorded the statements of three individuals, including Faisal and they are calling every other witness of this case.

“We urge the public not to make up stories as it can jeopardise investigations.
