PM wants to Enhance Immigration

He wants reform, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibharim says “The Madani government can’t afford to have any of its team members stay stuck with old corrupt practices.”

Immigration Department’s Hari Raya celebration on Monday, May 6, the Prime Minister encouraged the organisation to proceed with the improvements and progress that has to be made and ensure Malaysia’s great picture among foreigners.

Prime Minister Statement:

He said this is especially important since Immigration officers are the first people foreign tourists notice whenever they come to our awesome country. So, it’s super important for Malaysia to enhance the entrance of the country.

“When the Prime Minister talks about we’re a team, he just does not refer to the Cabinet and those (with higher) positions. He means, all of us civil servants, we are all part of the same team. Working together is our goal. 

There should be a stop to the old practices that are not in line with the Madani government and the reforms we bring.

The hopes and dreams of this Madani government are big, which means we must keep moving and we can’t remain still.

His speech at Raya’s Celebration 

“This Ramadan month we saw a lot of good achievements happening among civil servants so we should not return to the old practices now that the Ramadan month is finished.” 

The Prime Minister approached the civil servants and encouraged them to not make any kind of excuses when they did not perform but instead, he wanted them to take responsibility and accept constructive criticisms.

Anwar mentioned that the number of tourist arrivals had increased drastically at the beginning of this year, resulting there be a lot of pressure at the Immigration counters.

 Anwar had said on May 2

“Malaysia is such a popular destination and tourists definitely do not want to listen to any excuses that are given for delays if they are forced to wait.”

when we are travelling and excited to visit any new country, then the waiting is just spoiling everything. So, when we enter any new country the first look at the country is the airport, it should be perfect.
