Park Bo Gum, who is well-known for his contagious smile, recently explained his decision to join a new agency. “I was eager to work in a new setting and with new people. I chose The Black Label for that reason,” he said.
Joining The Black Label
Park Bo Gum is currently contracted to The Black Label, a management company run by Teddy, the head producer of YG Entertainment. Several well-known performers, including Taeyang, Jeon Somi, and Zion.T of BIGBANG, are signed to the Black Label.
Rosé from BLACKPINK just inked an exclusive deal with them as well. The Black Label also features vocalist Loren, who is the son of Naver’s founder, Lee Hae-jin. With Park Bo Gum joining The Black Label, the agency has expanded to represent actors in addition to artists.
Teddy approached Park Bo Gum, who recently spoke with World Biz & Sports World, on how it all started. “I got a message from producer Teddy saying, ‘It would be really fun to work together.'” It’s a music firm, as you are aware, and they don’t have actor management, so making my decision was difficult as well,” Park Bo Gum revealed.
He stated that he was happy with his choice and praised The Black Label’s talented and diverse staff. “A group of competent individuals from a variety of professions have come together. We occasionally get together for meetings, and they always seem to get my direction for the fan meetings and content I want to make. It’s enjoyable to update together.”
New Challenges and Upcoming Projects
Park Bo Gum has accepted several changes after leaving the Navy Band in 2022. He has risen to new difficulties, such as his first musical, in which he engaged audiences and coworkers in direct conversation. In addition, he obtained his graduate degree and became a “Master Actor.”
Park Bo Gum conveyed his enthusiasm for his acting career. “I want to accomplish so many things. When I read a script without empathy in the past, I fretted, ‘Can I perform well?’ but I gained experience in the military and in society.
As an actor, I enjoy a challenge,” he remarked. Even with the difficulties, he finds fulfillment in his work. “On the set, I frequently feel intense, harsh, and alone, but I also feel really happy. I’m thrilled, especially when folks I’ve worked with tell me they want to see me again,” he remarked.
“I’m appreciative that I can work on projects that I find enjoyable. But my satisfaction increases when staff members and other actors want to work with me again. That’s the kind of performer I want to be in the future.”
Meanwhile, Wonderland, a movie, has been a recent medium for Park Bo Gum to interact with fans. The Netflix series You Have Done Well, which is his next endeavor, is scheduled for release shortly.
