Ji Soo’s Acting Comeback in “Black Rider” After Bullying Controversy

Star Ji Soo, well-known for his roles in dramas such as My First First Love and Strong Woman Bong Soon, will be returning in Black Rider, a Filipino action thriller. 

Since 2021, the actor has taken a break from his career due to a bullying incident. He reappeared on social media earlier this year as well.

Ji So to Appear in Filipino Drama 

Actor Ji Soo of Strong Woman Bong Soon was confirmed to star with Ruru Madrid in the Filipino drama Black Rider on June 29. With an Instagram story, the actor confirmed the news once more.

Ji Soo conducted an exclusive interview with Sports Chosun on October 23. He clarified that during their meeting, he spoke with the original accuser and they resolved the issue. He said, “The two are on good terms now.” 

He went into further detail on the subject of his previous drama, River Where the Moon Rises. He claimed he just wanted to set the record straight regarding the claims, but that as things took a turn for the worse, he was forced to drop out and join the military because he had no agency to support him.

Ji Soo also addressed the matter of bullying and described his experience returning to school. Additionally, he explained that after meeting with the complainant, he learned that the individual believed Ji Soo had shunned them in front of other students and that this was the reason they felt ostracised.

 Along with clearing up any misunderstandings, the accuser told the media outlet that they remained in contact.

In 2012, Ji Soo released his first single, “To the Beautiful You.” He has since been cast in popular films such as Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Strong Girl Bong Soon, My First First Love, and others.
