Kim Jung Hyun and Geum Sae Rok have been hired as the female leads in KBS2’s upcoming drama “Iron Family.” The production team of the program released the news on July 18.
About the Drama
Screenwriter Seo Sook Hyang, whose credits include “Pasta” and “Don’t Dare to Dream,” wrote the dark comedy “Iron Family,” which centers on a family that has run a laundry business for three generations.
When they inherit a sizable quantity of money, their lives take an unexpected turn that allows them to overcome long-standing obstacles and achieve their goals.
Geum Sae Rok’s Role
Lee Da Rim, the youngest daughter in the family’s Clean Laundry business, will be portrayed by Geum Sae Rok. Since she was 14 years old, Da Rim has struggled with a gradual visual impairment, yet she has persevered and maintained her confidence.
Da Rim, despite her illness, finds hope when she learns about a possible treatment, but she is discouraged by the enormous expense of the procedure. When she gets back in touch with Seo Kang Joo (Kim Jung Hyun), with whom she has a significant past, her life takes a completely different turn.

Taking Part Actors Geum Sae Rok and Kim Jung Hyun have already been confirmed to feature in films, including Sungyeol from INFINITE, who plays Jiseung Group managing director Seo Kang Joo, and Choi Tae Joon, who plays Choi Hyung Chul, a lieutenant at Cheongrim Police Station. Yang Hye Ji and the other cast members are expected to improve the drama’s ensemble.
