Imagine being excited about the meal you ordered as you board a long-haul flight, only to discover it has been altered without your knowledge. According to member Taehyun, the well-known K-pop group TXT, this unexpected scenario came to pass.

The Unexpected Issue

Taehyun expressed his annoyance on Weverse on June 29th, stating that their in-flight meals had been changed without their consent.

“Someone has changed the members’ in-flight meals as we are happily on our way back to Korea after meeting with MOAs in person,” he wrote in his post, expressing his confusion.

We can just refuse to eat, but I fail to see how or why someone would alter another person’s meals while they are in flight. We’ve already had our meal, so relax.” In her tweet, Taehyun alluded to the possibility of “sasaeng interference,” a phrase used to characterize devoted admirers invading celebrities’ personal space.

“How? Is this by a sasaeng or a hacker?”

“Beomgyu can’t eat shrimp… what about the members who have dietary restrictions?”

“This is nuts.”

“It’s scary that this is possible. I also don’t understand why would someone do this. What’s there to gain by changing someone else’s inflight meals?”

“Could it be possible that there’s an insider at the airline?”
