KUALA LUMPUR – Firefighters and rescuers sent to unblock two separate apartments in Puchong and Kota Damansara discovered dead bodies in the units.
After the police requested aid, officers from the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department were rushed to the scene: one to the Siantan Apartment in Putra Perdana and the other to a People’s Housing Project (PPR) in Jalan Pekaka 8/1.
In an incident report about the body found in Siantan Apartment, the operations center of the department said that the Cyberjaya station got a call from the police about the locked door at 2:03 pm on Sunday.
Eight personnel were subsequently sent to the scene, following which the body of a woman was found after firefighters managed to unlock the unit’s door using special equipment.
Meanwhile, the Sg Buloh fire station received a call from the police at 4pm about the PPR unit, where seven staff later found the body of a man in his 60s after opening the door.
The homes where both bodies were found appeared to be in disarray, according to images shared by the department with the media.

Police have taken the handover of both bodies for further investigation.
Meanwhile, police has classified the case of a woman found dead in her home in nearby Siantan Apartment, Taman Putra Perdana, as sudden death.
Bernama reported that Sepang deputy police chief G. Shan Gopal said the 46-year-old woman lived alone, adding that further investigation revealed that her neighbors had not seen her for about two weeks and tried to get her out of the house but the attempts to contact her failed.
“Investigations at the scene also did not find any criminal elements. The possibility is that her death was caused by chronic illness,” he said in a statement.
