SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi Discusses About Military Service With a Fan.

Many people are aware that in South Korea, all men are required to enlist in the military. In SEVENTEEN‘s case, the eldest Korean members, S.COUPS and Jeonghan, are expected to join in 2024.

They were both born in 1995 and will be 29 that year, which marks the end of their eligibility for postponement. S.COUPS is out of service owing to a ruptured ligament.

Meanwhile, Jeonghan has previously spoken out about his planned conscription, sparking concern among supporters.

The Korean 96-line, which includes Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Woozi, comes next in the group. Fans have begun to express stress about their upcoming enlistment, when they turn 28 in 2024.

During a video conversation, a fan took the chance to ask Hoshi about it directly. According to them, they chose to question directly because the members had lately discussed military duty.

In the fansign, Hoshi assured them that he would not be enlisting this year, but rather next year. This news should put fans at ease, as the 96-line members will not be joining the military in 2024. CARATs will have a year to intellectually and emotionally prepare for their precious boys’ temporary absence.
