Stray Kids, a K-pop group, has been certified gold for the second time by the French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP). Their November 2023 release of the compact album “樂-STAR” (Rock Star) was a huge hit in France.

Gold Certification for ‘樂-STAR’

The French Record Association declared on June 6 that Stray Kids‘ short album “쨂-STAR” had been certified gold. Accordingly, the album’s sales in France exceeded 50,000 units.

Gold certifications are granted by the SNEP, which was founded in 1922 and is based on the quantity of albums and singles sold.

Previous Achievements

The SNEP had already granted Stray Kids a gold certification. Their third full-length album, “★★★★★ (5-STAR),” likewise achieved gold status. The ‘Top 200 Albums of 2023’ chart, announced by the SNEP in January of this year, placed ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR)’ at number 52 and ‘-STAR’ at number 135 respectively.

These were the greatest positions available to K-pop performers, proving how dominant the group was in the French music scene.

In France, Stray Kids have achieved tremendous progress. They made history in July 2023 when they were the first K-pop performers to open the nearby Lollapalooza Paris, a major music event.

This was a significant turning point since it demonstrated the group’s attraction and popularity on a global scale.

Stray Kids hosted the first K-pop boy band charity event in France in January 2024. “Operation Yellow Coins Charity Event” was a resounding success.

It demonstrated their dedication to giving back to the community and further solidified their position as international celebrities.

Remarkable professional achievements are still being made by Stray Kids. Their ever-expanding popularity and success in the global music industry is demonstrated by their second gold certification for ‘樂-STAR’ from the French Record Association.

The group’s impact and commitment to their global fan base are demonstrated by their ability to top charts and headline important events in France.
