Vivo is gearing up to launch a new Y-series called Y28 4G, which is the 4G variant of the Y28 5G launched earlier this year. Although the phone has not been revealed yet, it has already appeared on the SIRIM database.
on May 10, 2024, the Vivo Y28 was listed with model number V2352, although there appears to be no sign of the 5G model launching in Malaysia. Although the brand has not confirmed anything officially, there have been several leaks regarding the specifications of the phone as the launch draws closer.
A certification shows that the entry-level smartphone has a massive 6,000mAh battery that supports for 44W charging and comes with Android 14-based Funtouch OS 14 out of the box. Additionally, a Geekbench listing suggests that the phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 with 8GB of RAM.
As for connectivity, it could also support Wi-Fi 6 in addition to Bluetooth and LTE. There’s no word yet on the camera setup, but for reference, the 5G variant has a 50MP main camera with a depth sensor on the back. It also has a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
