SINGAPORE – A massive fire broke out at Fishery Port Road which led to the evacuation of 40 people and the Hospitalization of One Firefighter on June 28th.
A video sent to the Chinese-language daily Lianhe Zaobao depicted the smoke emitting from the second floor of a two-storey industrial building.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was informed about the incident around 10.25 am.
Fishery Port Road Incident Overview
The fire, which affected the contents of an office measuring approximately 30 meters by 45 meters, was extinguished by SCDF with two water jets.
Around 40 people had evacuated the affected premises before SCDF’s arrival.

SCDF informed, “During the firefighting operation, a firefighter experienced giddiness. He was assessed by a paramedic and conveyed to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital as a precautionary measure.”
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
