SINGAPORE – A 25-year-old male van driver was injured in an accident involving two vans, two cars, and a taxi on the slip road of the Pan-Island Expressway towards the Tampines Expressway on June 19th (Wednesday).
Later, he was taken to Changi General Hospital for medical treatment of his sustained severe injury.
According to the reports, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force were informed about the accident around 5.40 pm that day.

In footage circulating on social media depicting the aftermath of the accident, one of the vans is seen flipped onto its side.
According to the Traffic Police’s annual statistics report, in Singapore, the number of traffic accidents resulting in injuries increased from 6,779 cases in 2022 to 6,944 in 2023, but remained below the pre-pandemic level of 7,705 cases in 2019.
