SINGAPORE: A 54-year-old man was charged on July 1st (Monday) for showing his 10-year-old daughter pornography and performing an immortal behavior with her. The Singaporean man cannot be named due to gag orders i.e. legal restrictions to protect his daughter’s identity.
He faced three charges which involved, committing an indecent act with a child under the Children and Young Persons Act, exposing pornography to a child, and possessing 140 obscene films.
Father Commits Lewd Act
The man committed the indecent act with his daughter and showed her a pornographic video in 2019, according to the reports.
On Feb 11, 2023, He was then found with 140 obscene films.
The man signaled his intention to plead guilty and was scheduled to do so in August.

Penalties For Offenses Involving Pornography
He can be jailed for up to five years, fined up to S$10,000, or both if he is found guilty of an indecent act with a child.
If convicted of showing pornography to a minor, he could be jailed for up to a year, fined, or both.
Additionally, he can be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$20,000, or both, if he pleaded guilty to possessing obscene films.
