Sabah: A weak earthquake was reported to have occurred in the coastal area of Sabah, Malaysia at 2.49 pm on Sunday.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia), the epicentre was located 4.4 degrees north and 118.9 degrees east at a depth of 10 kilometers (km).
He said it involves a distance of 50km east from Semporna, Sabah.
“There is no tsunami threat to Malaysia,” explained METMalaysia in a statement via Facebook.
