KOTA KINABALU: Firefighters rushed to the aid of a baby who was accidentally left and trapped in a locked car near RHB Bank on Gaya Street in Kota Kinabalu on Monday morning.
According to a statement from Sabah Fire and Rescue Services Department, the nine-month-old child was successfully returned to his parents after being trapped in the car for 20 minutes.
A team from Kota Kinabalu station in Sembulan was dispatched to the scene after receiving an emergency call at 11.28am.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at 11.35am and used specialised equipment to break down the door. They finished the task within nine minutes.
The baby boy was in stable condition when he was rescued. The operation was called off at 11.44am after it was found safe.
After ensuring the situation was safe, the operation was called off at 11.44am.
