In a good news to all Alan Walker fans in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, the Norwegian electronic dance music (EDM) star has set up WhatsApp phone numbers for these countries so that fans can text him ahead of his performance in this region.
On June 8, Walker will arrive in Indonesia as part of the Walkerworld Asia Tour Pt. 1 tour. He will then land in Singapore on June 14 and Malaysia on June 22.
Meanwhile, within eight hours of setting up the numbers on WhatsApp on May 14, his phone was flooded with more than 50,000 text messages from all three territories.
On May 14, the 26-year-old producer-DJ made the announcement on his social media handles.
“I’ve set up local numbers so you can WhatsApp me – let me know if you are coming to my shows in June,” he wrote.
A press statement said that Walker would even personally reply to the messages from some of the “lucky ones”.
Alan Walker is best known for his hits like 2015’s Faded, which garnered 3.6 billion views on YouTube, and 2016’s Alone which has 1.3 billion views.
Walkerworld is his most recent and fourth album, which was released last year.
