Akhyar Rashid Winger for Terengganu FC

Terengganu Football Club TFC winger Akhyar Rashid is injured after being attacked by two robbers at his home in Icon Residence last night. He got an injury to his head and leg after being attacked by the robbers. 

Azli Noor chief police of Kuala Terengganu said that the 25-year-old footballer Akhyar Rashid was attracted when he was getting out of his car after coming back from his training at Sultan Mizan Abidin Stadium at around 8:30 pm.

He also mentions that the victim was hit by an iron rod by the two unidentified attackers, they were dressed in black and wearing masks. 

He got Injuries 

He got a 4cm cut on the crown of his head and received four stitches on his head and two stitches on his left leg.

The suspect escaped after taking the victim’s money, Azli Noor chief police said when contacted, that police are tracking the suspects and allowing them to return Akhyar home after having treatment at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital.

The case is investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code, which carries a prison sentence at least of 20 years and whipping upon conviction. TFC CEO Sabri Abas requested that the police abstain from speculating on the robbery.

Police take his incident seriously, especially for the football fans out there, not to participate in wild speculation to avoid disrupting the authorities. He said this in a statement on TFC’s Facebook page today. 

Akhyar Rashid fans are praying for his fast recovery.

Akhyar Rashid is a professional footballer who plays as a winger or striker for Malaysia Super League club Terengganu, on loan from Johor Darul Ta’zim and the Malaysia national team.
