Atypical Family, starring Jang Ki Yong and Chun Woo Hee, has been replaced on Netflix by a new romantic comedy series called Miss Night and Day. With Lee Jung Eun, Jung Eun Ji of Apink, and Choi Jin Hyuk in the lead roles, this new K-drama from JTBC made a stronger domestic premiere with greater audience figures than its predecessor.
Miss Night and Day Strong Ratings
Nielsen Korea reports that the new program, which debuted on June 15, received an average national rating of 4.0 percent. Prior to this, Atypical Family only made 3.3% of the total on its debut. The show will then begin to stream globally on the OTT powerhouse Netflix, where it will appear every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 KST.
The Plot
The main character of this quirky romantic comedy is Lee Mi Jin, a young woman who is worn out from working several part-time jobs. Her life takes an odd turn when she is miraculously transferred into the body of a 50-year-old, desperate for a steady career!
She now has to manage the unexpected benefit of changing back into a younger version of herself at night, while still living her life as an older lady throughout the day. Unfazed by this peculiar destiny, Mi Jin seizes the chance to pursue her ideal career by using her innocent evening self. Simultaneously, the meticulous prosecutor Gye Ji Woong inadvertently becomes involved in her day-to-day existence.
