The DSP Media boy band MIRAE will formally break up three years after they made their debut. After much thought and discussion, the members agreed to stop their collective activities, as DSP Media reported on July 9 KST.
Many fans are saddened by this news, but they are still rooting for the members in their future ambitions.
Farewell Message
To say goodbye to their fans, MIRAE’s members posted sincere handwritten letters on their official social media sites.
“I learned a lot thanks to NOW (fan club name) during my time with MIRAE and am grateful for the unforgettable moments we created together,” wrote leader Lee Junhyuk in an email expressing his gratitude. Several of the group’s ardent supporters were moved to tears by his remarks.
Another MIRAE member, Son Dongpyo, will stay with DSP Media and carry on with his own projects. “To be really honest, there were a lot of times when I felt broken and uncertain,” he said. But even at those moments, we were always united, strolling with our supporters and learning how to get back up again.
Please keep an eye on us while we all pursue our goals.” His message emphasizes how close the band are to their fans.
MIRAE’s Journey
MIRAE made their debut with their EP “KILLA” in March 2021. They soon became well-known as DSP Media’s next big thing.
DSP Media is a production business that has developed hit groups including April, Fin.K.L, Click-B, SS501, KARA, and Sechskies. After the coed group KARD, MIRAE was the first group DSP to be launched in four years.
Contestants from well-known survival shows like “Produce X 101” and “Under Nineteen” were among the members of MIRAE.
Their skill and diligence allowed them to amass a devoted following. MIRAE had a big influence on K-pop culture in spite of their brief existence.
Latest Release
The mini-album ‘Boys Will Be Boys,’ which MIRAE released in July of last year, was their most recent domestic release.
