Initiatives for Health
Goal: Boost donations to the Vaccine Alliance, or GAVI, by a minimum of 20%.
Funding Objective: Raise $9 billion to vaccinate 500 million children against diseases that can be avoided.
Effect: More than 8 million lives saved.
Additional Support
In addition, the festival provides support to CGIAR, UNFPA, IFAD, and the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI). The campaign’s main objectives are to reduce severe poverty, save the environment, and uphold human rights. This is especially true for advocates and activists working against poverty.
Lisa‘s engagement excited Global Citizen’s SVP of Music, Entertainment, and Artist Relations, Katie Hill. Lisa is a powerful performer and campaigner who uses her platform to address pressing global issues, according to Hill.
Hill urged supporters to contribute to the cause by using the Global Citizen app to take meaningful action that will significantly reduce extreme poverty.
Come see an amazing concert and support these important causes in Central Park this September with Lisa, Lilies, Blinks, and many others!
