On June 16, the latest edition of SBS’ Running Man sparked excitement as Ji Ye Eun made a significant return after a two-week absence. During the show, Kim Jongkook sparked viewers’ curiosity by discussing BTS member Jin’s discharge from military service with fellow cast member Ji Seok Jin, just as they were getting ready for a pivotal game moment.
Kim Jongkook expressed delight that BTS’ Jin (aka Kim Seok Jin) would have completed his military duty by the time the show aired. Ji Seok-jin hinted at future interactions by recalling Jin’s previous participation on the show, when they competed in a friendly Seokjin vs. Seokjin competition because of their shared name.
According to Ji Seok Jin, Jin expressed gratitude and even voiced his desire to return to Running Man after his discharge.
Meanwhile, Jin, the eldest member of the global sensation BTS, completed his military service in the 5th Infantry Division Recruit Training Battalion in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Do, becoming the first BTS member to do so. His release on June 12 was a historic moment for both fans and the entertainment business, as they awaited his return to activities with BTS.
