Hollywood star Tom Hanks was at Aston Villa to witness his beloved team’s final home game of the season.
The Oscar-winning star was seen wearing the club’s claret and blue colours as he watched his team ending up in a draw 3-3 against Liverpool.
A video was posted ahead of the match on the club’s social media handle in which Hanks said he was looking forward to the penultimate match of the season.
“I’m an adopted fan but I love the team as though they’re my own,” Hanks has previously said.
“Good news on the horizon, lets hope so. Up the Villa! Forever Villa,” he said before the start of the game against Liverpool.
In the video clip, he can be seen cheering on Aston Villa when the team equalised in the 88th minute.
Hanks spotted Aston Villa’s name in a list of results and thought it sounded “like a place you’d go on holiday in the summertime”. This is when he decided to support Aston Villa.
