Singapore News: Conflict Between Beer Ladies And Customers Leads To Police Investigation

Conflict Between Beer Ladies And Customers Leads To Police Investigation

Two Customers engaged in an argument with each other at a coffee shop located on Tyrwhitt Road in Jalan Besar around 11 pm on June 14th which subsequently escalated into a physical altercation.

Mr. Yang, present at the coffee shop during the incident, informed Lianhe Zaobao that the Singha and Chang female vendors had beef with each other because of competition in beer sales.

The drinks stall manager, 51-year-old Chen, said a Chang customer was out of control after drinking too much that night and was caught on CCTV footage slapping the Singha vendor.

Another customer interrupted to shield the Singha vendor but ended up in a physical altercation with the Chang customer. It is believed that the Chang customer attacked the Singha vendor in defence of the Chang vendor.

“The two beer venders knew each other, so perhaps this happened because of some personal matters,” Ms Chen said.
