Car collides with a motorbike across PIE

SINGAPORE: A motorcyclist was flung off his bike onto the road when a car collided with him from behind across the PIE (Pan Island Expressway) on 5th June, Wednesday night. The incident happened around 9:20 pm on the Pan Island Expressway towards Tuas, after the Paya Lebar exit.

The incident’s video captured on the dashcam by another driver and uploaded to the page shows a car driving between lanes one and two of the four-lane expressway.

While merging into the second lane, the car crashes into a motorcycle in front of it. The impact is strong enough to bounce the car as it runs over the motorbike.

According to the Sources, the vehicle turned suddenly to the left and crashed into the side of another large truck in the third lane. After the collision, the car stops, and its hazard lights start blinking.

At the same time, the motorbike rider gets thrown onto the road and slides across to the far left lane. They roll over a few times before finally sitting up.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were informed about the incident around 9.25 pm. A person was treated for minor injuries and declined to be sent to the hospital.
