Zayn Murder Case: Legal Representatives Gear Up For Closed-Door Proceedings

PETALING JAYA: Lawyers Fahmi Abd Moin and Mahmud Jumaat, who are representing the parents of the murdered autistic boy, Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin, 6, have arrived at the court complex around 10.30 am for a closed-door proceeding. According to the Sources, they were seen entering the complex minutes separately, at around 11.15 am.

Counsel Fahmi Abd Moin told the reporters that he was informed at 9 am that his clients were brought to the complex today.

“I was told to be present today. I cannot give any comments until the proceedings today conclude,” he said briefly before entering the complex with Zayn Rayyan’s grandfather Zahari Mohd Reba.

Since 7.30 am, more than 30 media reporters have gathered at the court complex but restricted to the outer front lobby.

On May 31, police arrested Zayn Rayyan’s parents at their family home in Puncak Alam and were taken into custody for seven days from June 1 regarding the 6-year-old Zyan’s murder investigation.

Later on Friday, the magistrates’ court allowed police to extend their remand for another six days until tomorrow i.e. June 13th, to investigate and confirm certain matters within their systems.
