SRK's 'Dunki' Set To Premiere; Rajkumar Hirani Invited As Film Representative

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, renowned for his outstanding direction, has been invited to the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) as a Film Representative. Interestingly, his last direction ‘Dunki’ will be featured at the festival, which commenced on June 14.

Recognized for his captivating stories and emotional depth, his films never fail to touch the hearts of audiences. His recently released ‘Dunki’, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, gained massive attention not only from his fans but also received immense appreciation from global audiences. Following the film’s success, Hirani has been invited by the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) to showcase ‘Dunki’.

Based on the information provided by Rajkumar Hirani’s team, the film has been chosen for the International Panorama section of SIFF 2024, which is scheduled from June 14 to 23. The film will be screened 3 times i.e. on June 15, 18, and 20. Indeed, this is a proud moment for the filmmaker and the entire nation as the film gains global recognition.

About The Film”Dunki”

Released in December 2023, ‘Dunki’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Anil Grover, and Vikram Kochhar, centers around the theme of immigration. Its title is taken from the term “donkey journey,” which refers to the long, winding, and often dangerous routes people take to reach the places they want to immigrate to, all across the world.

Earlier, SRK highlighted ‘Dunki’ as one of his “special” films. He said, “Dunki is a special film and one that is very close to my heart. The film is a rollercoaster ride of emotions.”
