Anwar says, There is Still no Final Decision yet on the Subsidy cut

There is some negative news in the neighbouring and international media, Which may be because of our firm political stance, which might be due to continuing to attack in terms of negative news, for example, the casino development issue in Johor. it was never discussed and never reached my information but it became a very important issue.

Regarding the withdrawal of the diesel subsidy, although there was initial discussion, no final decision has been made regarding the implementation date. It’s important to say that the process is still ongoing and no concrete plans have been set in stone. 

Anwar Expressed

4 May, On Saturday a foreign newspaper reported that Malaysia is planning to cut fuel subsidies, as part of their economic reform measures.

According to the report, industry and government sources claimed that diesel prices would be floated according to market prices in the weeks following the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election on May 11. These types of political events can influence economic decisions. 

It also claimed that the move would be followed by a gradual increase in the retail price of petrol.

The report mentioned that there would be a gradual increase in the retail price of petrol. There might be some changes in fuel prices ahead. We should consider every official statement and update to be aware of the situation.
